To Him Who is Overcoming

Over and over again, in Revelation 2-3 where the Holy Spirit is speaking to the churches, He says "To him who is overcoming ." You'll see this wording in any literal translation of the bible. What does that statement mean? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last week you get a reward? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last month you get a reward? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last year you get a reward? No, "is overcoming" means at the time the Master shows up to hold you accountable. When will that be? I don't know, for some it might be tonight on the way home, it might mean at the time of the rapture, or at the second coming for some people. Bottom line is this, thinking someone was "saved" because they knelt at an alter at sometime in the past means ZERO, ZILCH, NOTHING. What does mean something is being found "overcoming" at the time the master shows up. The Lord gives many examples to drive this point home, consider this:

Matt 24:42 'Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come; 43 and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through; 44 because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.
45 'Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season? 46 Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so; 47 verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him

What happened here^^^^^ When the Lord showed up unexpectedly, the servant was doing what he was supposed to be doing. What happens to the servant who "made a decision for Jesus" 5 years ago, but on the day the Lord shows up, is caught not doing what pleases the Lord?

'And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come, 49 and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken, 50 the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know, 51 and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

Well, does'nt look like things go very well, first, Jesus calls them an EVIL SERVANT, next that servant is "cut off" and their portion then belongs with those who are weeping and gnashing teeth. I don't know about you, but I want NO PART in that, do you? Faithfulness pays. Have you screwed something up today, yesterday, last week? Been struggling to get right with Jesus? Right now is the time to ask forgiveness and recommit to Him. The bible clearly says He is willing to forgive you as many times as it takes to turn you around, HOWEVER, that's not a license to sin. If your heart does not truly repent and grieve over your sin, the Lord does'nt honor your request for forgiveness. He knows if you are playing games or you are serious. If He comes back tonight will you be ready? It could happen. Let's commit 100% of the energy we have left, our whole heart and our whole mind to crossing the finishing line STRONG. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment, standing in heaven before the Lord, with an assembly of angels around you so numerous you can't count them, and the Lord says to you 'WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" Can anything on this earth compare with how you'll feel in that moment? Whatever the cost, whatever the price, we have to strive for this goal with everything we have, TIME IS SHORT. Grace and peace

How Much Time is Left?

Gosh, I don't know. What I do know is that we can't go one week without seeing a major earthquake somewhere. China, Iowa, Burma. Tornado's are shredding the US countryside. What does that mean? Of course, I know! Global warming! That's the answer for EVERYTHING. See, this world can never admit that the Bible and its many prophecies are perfect and very accurate.

What else is going on? Well, it's looking like WW3 should pop onto the radar any day now. Our economy is on life support, housing has collapsed, the stock market is close to collapsing, almost all of the largest US banks would have already gone under had they not been bailed out by the Federal Reserve. Now however, the Fed has backed itself into a corner, they can't lower interest rates below 0% so the tool they've used to prop up our economy so far has run out of usefullness. What does that mean? What's the solution now? How do the powers that be keep US citizens from revolting over rising food and fuel prices, joblessness, homelessness etc? Easy, start WW3! WW3 is the vehicle that will deliver the man of sin onto the world stage. This event could kick off any minute now, so, how much time is left until the rapture? I don't know, but I do know that this world is on borrowed time. The way of life that most people have grown accustomed to is breathing it's last breath. Those who belong to Jesus (for real) should not fear, everyone else should be quite worried. Time is short, grace and peace

How much time is left? Not much....

What We Are to "Do"

As I've said many times, there's no more powerful thing you can do for anyone (to include yourself) than to PRAY. What else are we to "do?" PATIENTLY ENDURE. Consider:

Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Sometimes patiently enduring is pretty tough. We are humans and many of us want what we want NOW. The Word of our Father makes it perfectly clear though that patient waiting is a huge part of what we are called to do in service to Him. Ever heard that saying "the waiting is the hardest part." So true. Thing is, we might not have to wait much longer for many things. The rapture is imminent, the facade on this world is quickly unraveling. I often wonder how much farther things can go without the entire world falling apart. Economically, politically, socially, ethically, the wheels are coming off. How Close to the End Are We?

I was sent an email recently that had the following in it:

Remember Lee Iacocca, the man who rescued Chrysler Corporation from it's death throes? He's now 82 years old and has a new book, and here are some excerpts:
Lee Iacocca Says:"Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder.We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course".Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic". I'll give you a sound bite: "Throw all the bums out! "
You might think I'm getting senile, that I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore. The most famous business leaders are not the innovators, but the guys in handcuffs. While we're fiddling in Iraq , the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And, the press is waving 'pom -poms' instead of asking hard questions. That's not the promise of the
" America " my parents, and yours, traveled across the ocean for.
I've had enough. How about you? I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged. This is a fight I'm ready and willing to have. The Biggest "C" is Crisis ! (Iacocca elaborates on nine Cs of leadership, 'Crisis' being the first.)
Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is forged in times of crisis.It's easy to sit there with your feet up on the desk and talk theory, or, send someone else's kids off to war when you've never seen a battlefield yourself. It's another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling down.On September 11, 2001, we needed a strong leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A Hell of a Mess. So here's where we stand:
We're immersed in a bloody war with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving. We're running the biggest deficit in the history of the country. We're losing the manufacturing edge to Asia, while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered by health care costs. Gas prices are skyrocketing, and nobody in power has a coherent energy policy. Our schools are in trouble. Our borders are like sieves. The middle class is being squeezed every which way. These are times that cry out for leadership. But when you look around, you've got to ask:
" Where have all the leaders gone?" Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point.Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo? We've spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all we know how to do is react to things that have already happened. Name me one leader who emerged from the crisis of Hurricane Katrina. Congress has yet to spend a single day evaluating the response to the hurricane, or demanding accountability for the decisions that were made in the crucial hours after the storm.Everyone is hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping it doesn't happen again.
Now, that's just crazy. Storms happen. Deal with it. Make a plan. Figure out what you're going to do the next time.Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing.
Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when "The Big Three" referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, what are we going to do about it?Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit,
or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem.
The silence is deafening.
But, these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.
I have news for the "gang" in Congress. We didn't elect you to sit on your asses and do nothing and remain silent while our democracy is being hijacked and our greatness is being replaced with mediocrity.
What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on Fox News will call them a name? Give me a break. Why don't you guys show some spine for a change?
Had Enough?Hey, I'm not trying to be the voice of 'gloom and doom' here. I'm trying to light a fire. I'm speaking out because I have hope. I believe in America. In my lifetime I've had the privilege of living through some of America's greatest moments. I've also experienced some of our worst crises: the Great Depression; World War II; the Korean War; the Kennedy Assassination; the Vietnam War; the 1970's oil crisis; and, the struggles of recent years culminating with 9/11.

If I've learned one thing, it's this:You don't get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody else to take action. Whether it's building a better car or building a better future for our children, we all have a role to play. That's the challenge I'm raising in this book. It's a call to "Action" for people who, like me, who believe in America .
It's not too late, but it's getting pretty close.
So let's shake off the crap and go to work. Let's tell 'em all we've had "enough."Make your own contribution by sending this to everyone you know and care about.
It's our country, folks, and; it's our future. Our future is at stake!

See all the problems facing us? Looks pretty bad, does'nt it? Yea, that's no coincidence either. What's happening right now is, the people of this world are being "squeezed." Know what's going to happen sometime in the near future? Things are going to get worse, and at some point in the midst of all these terrible times a "great leader" is going to show up and solve all the problems! Great news huh? Yea, except for the fact that this great leader goes by many names, one of which is THE ANTI-CHRIST. Do you see how people are being setup to fall? There's one solution for us who believe. The economy is irrelevant, the housing market is irrelevant. The ONLY THING relevant to our situation is what OUR LORD thinks, and does on our behalf. Wanna "do something?" Great, get on your knees and PRAY. Seek the face and the favor of the Creator of eternity. Time is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHORT. Grace and Peace

Who Should Be Worried?

2Thess1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many if not most so called christians today should be VERY concerned about this. Why?

Matt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Those that I call so called christians, Jesus calls YE THAT WORK INIQUITY. Atheists, satanists, buddhists, muslims etc are not ones who prophesy, do many wonderful works and cast out devils in Jesus name...SO CALLED CHRISTIANS DO......they that work iniquity. If that's not a wake up call I don't know what is. Unfortunately, most won't "get it" until its too late. They are too in love with the world, to in love with unrighteousness, too in love with themselves to make room for the truth that is in Christ Jesus. I pray that it's not too late for you. Do You Know the Creator?

There are many many so called christians in the world today who believe the lie that "they made a decision" for christ one day, and forevermore they are "saved." Do these people KNOW GOD? What does the bible say?

3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: 6 the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

What does "abide" mean? 1: to wait for : await2 a: to endure without yielding : withstand b: to bear patiently. TO ENDURE WITHOUT YIELDING, sounds like a one time decision to you?

We are the bride of Christ right? What does that mean? We are married to Christ. Let's put it in terms everyone can understand, when you get married on this earth, you have a wedding day, and on that day you "make a decision" to get married, you say "I do." Now let me ask you, is that one decision on that one day enough to make the relationship work for the rest of your life? NO, you have to commit DAILY to your marriage or its toast. Don't take my word for it, look at the divorce rate today, over 50% of marriages end in divorce. What? Divorce? But I thought they made a "decision" on the day they were married? Yea, and THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND LATER. You cannot find anything, ZERO, zip in the bible that says anything remotely close to the idea that the Lord in anyway impedes your freewill. What you will find is language throughout the bible that tells you the consequences for your freewill choices. Here's one of many examples:

You disown Christ, He disowns you:

2 Timothy 2:12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us

IF we endure, we will reign with Him. IF is a CONDITIONAL word. Those people who say "but we can't disown Him" are willfully ignorant and fools. The bible says that you absolutely CAN, AND the bible tells us what the consequences are for that.

Many many people today deceive themselves, they prefer to believe lies so they can take pleasure in unrighteousness. After all, it's so much more convenient to hang onto their closet sins, the unrighteousness they take pleasure in, when they assure themselves that they "made a decision" for Christ 15 years ago or whatever. How very unwise.....

It's bad enough when someone else deceives you, but to deceive yourself? Time is short brothers and sisters. Get right, and stay right with the Lord Jesus and our Father. We are committed to our bridgegroom Jesus, let us be watching and ready for His return. Pray for all the brothers, grace and peace

The Blind Man

Luke 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: 36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. 37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. 38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, 41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. 42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Notice what this did'nt say:

It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy priest hath saved thee.
It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy synagogue hath saved thee.
It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy doctorate degree hath saved thee.
It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy pastor hath saved thee.
It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy social club hath saved thee.
It did'nt say: Receive thy sight: thy money hath saved thee.

thy faith....hath saved thee. It takes faith and obedience for us to cross the finish line. Our faith will be tested, our obedience will be tested. Those who obey Jesus are the ones who love Him. I cannot shake the feeling that time is VERY SHORT. I tell you often to WAKE UP because this world is in a complacent state, and we are AT WAR. In war, those who are complacent get killed, simple as that. Our adversary prowls around like a lion seeking those he can devour, there's no easier kill than prey that's not alert and watching. Recommit yourself today to Jesus, WATCH and PRAY because time is short. Please pray for me and all the brothers, Grace and Peace

Exposing Wolves

How many of today's babylonian ministers have you heard preaching this message of DEATH:

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

We must DIE to ourselves and to the world before we can live for Christ. Kind of an unpopular message huh? Which is probably why you don't hear it preached. Telling the truth does not make men popular, but it does make them faithful servants. It appears that the wolves standing in todays pulpits have chosen popularity over faithfulness. Gosh, if they spoke the truth, they might lost 10-90% of "their" congregation, and what would that do to the bottom line of their business, oops, i mean "church?"

Putting Disaster in Perspective


Thinking about that earthquake that hit China yesterday, I think the casualty list is in the 10's of thousands now and counting since many are still buried. We have become so desensitized to constant streams of bad news that it's sometimes hard to put into perspective what we're talking about and getting a true vision of what's happening. One way to do that for the disasters we are seeing is to start counting from 1 to say 15,000. Each number represents a dead body. A soul that's passed over to the other side. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 women, children, wives, husbands, teachers, students, firemen, doctors, people JUST LIKE YOU lost their lives in an instant yesterday, TENS OF THOUSANDS OF THEM, 111,112,113......11,285, 11286, 11287. What's the moral of this story? Not one of those people yesterday woke up saying to themselves..."today I'm going to die in a 7.9 magnitude earthquake" it just happened. Do you think the wickedness of our country has gone unnoticed by the Most High? Think that tens of thousands can't die in an earthquake where you live? Well, if you answered yes then that would make you just like the 20,000+ chinese who died yesterday. TIME IS SHORT, it certainly was for them was'nt it? WAKE UP...Grace and Peace

More on Tithing

Gal 2:19 “For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. 20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. 21 “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”

Tithing was part of the law was'nt it? You know, listening to most of today's preachers you'd think that "tithing" was one of the most important doctrines in the New Testament. When I read my bible however, I find something curiously missing: Jesus never tithed. Paul NEVER instructed us to tithe. Don't you find that VERY strange? Did the Holy Spirit "forget" (as if that were possible) to mention it? Don't you think at least ONCE Jesus or Paul would have thrown a couple coppers into a box somewhere and said something about us tithing like they did if it were as important as today's leechers, i mean, preachers would have us believe?

The giving the church practices is voluntary, from the heart, and generous. Tithing is NONE of those things. If that was'nt enough, I can't recall seeing a single levitical priest EVER in my lifetime, and as I recall, tithing was designed to support that priesthood, not todays wolves in sheeps clothing.

2 Cor 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

Let that sink in DEEPLY...sounds like tithing to you? not even in the same ballpark.

The enemy came to kill, STEAL, and destroy. Every leecher who tells you to tithe is exploiting you. Next time your pastor asks you to tithe, tell him you can't because you're giving as you've purposed in your heart (see scripture above), so you're giving directly to the poor and watch the expression on his face....I imagine you'll be looking for a new church not long after that conversation...WAKE UP, time is short. Another Rebuttal of "once saved always saved"

I was reading some guys article recently where he states that the following passage is proof that once a person is"saved" they are always saved.

John 1:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Many in the OSAS crowd use this scripture as part of their defense that OSAS is correct doctrine, however they refuse to answer basic question that refute the notion that a person "get's saved" then is safe forever. Such questions as:

1. Jesus said He will not cast you out, but can you show me anywhere in the bible that says Jesus revoked your freewill to walk away from Him?
2. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing. So....it's the Father's will that Jesus lose nothing right? Great, isn't it also the Father's will that all men should be saved?

2 Peter 3:9 (King James Version)
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The Father is NOT WILLING that any should perish, BUT MOST WILL.....so, when the bible says that the Father's will is that Jesus lose no believers does that equate to none being lost? Obviously not. The Father's will is that all men be saved, but we know most won't be saved (Matt 7:14).

It takes faith until the end to be saved:

(Luke 12:42-46 NIV) The Lord answered, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? [43] It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. [44] I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. [45] But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk. [46] The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers. Isn't the servant here a Christian? Isn't the master, Jesus Christ? Isn't the place with the unbelievers hell?

(Luke 14:25-35 NIV) Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: [26] "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple. [27] And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. [28] "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? [29] For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, [30] saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.' [31] "Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Will he not first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? [32] If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. [33] In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. [34] "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? [35] It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." Why would Jesus tell people that before they follow Him they should count the cost and be sure they are able to follow through?

(Matthew 18:22-35 NIV) Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. [23] "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. [24] As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. [25] Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. [26] "The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' [27] The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. [28] "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded. [29] "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.' [30] "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. [31] When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened. [32] "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. [33] Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' [34] In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. [35] "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart." Jesus even says that this parable is about a believer. I guess the question then is what does it mean that the Father would turn some of us over to the jailers to be tortured until we pay for our sins? I can't believe that people will be tortured in heaven. Nor do I believe that if God has forgiven our sins past, present and future that He will at some later date call us wicked. God says that when He forgives us He will never remember those sins again.
(Matthew 25:1-13 NIV) "At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. [2] Five of them were foolish and five were wise. [3] The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. [4] The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. [5] The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. [6] "At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' [7] "Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. [8] The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' [9] "'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' [10] "But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. [11] "Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!' [12] "But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' [13] "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. There are several points in this parable. First, notice that the five foolish virgins lamps were going out, it was not that they could not light them. Meaning that they must have had some Holy Spirit (which most people believe is the oil). Second, Jesus tells believers that they should keep watch since we don't know when He is coming back. Why, if we are saved and nothing can change that, what difference does it make?
(1 John 1:9-10 NIV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. John under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote this to Christians. Why would God command Christians to confess their sins and then say that He would forgive them if they (the sins) had already been forgive when they were saved?
(Hebrews 10:26-27 NIV) If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, [27] but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Again this was written to Christians. I believe that the knowledge of the truth is salvation.
(1 John 2:15 NIV) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. This verse shows us that a person cannot love the world and also be a Christian.
(Philemon 1:23-24 NIV) Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. [24] And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my fellow workers. We see here that Paul considers Demas a fellow worker, or in other words a Christian.
(2 Timothy 4:9-10 NIV) Do your best to come to me quickly, [10] for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. In this verse Paul says that Demas deserted him because Demas loved the world. This does not prove that Demas was then lost, but it sure shows that a person can walk away.
I believe we see the same principle in the letters to the churches in Revelations. I have heard people try to claim not all these churches were Christian churches, but I can't believe that. Why would Jesus write people and call them churches if they did not know Him? I won't quote all the verses but let me just quote those which I think are important for our discussion.
(Revelation 2:4-7 NIV) Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. [5] Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. [6] But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. [7] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. Notice He says if they don't repent He will remove their lampstand. He also says to 'him who overcomes' they will get to eat of the tree of life. That would seem to mean not everyone will, but only those who overcome.
(Revelation 2:14-17 NIV) Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. [15] Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. [16] Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. [17] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it. Again He says to those who overcome...
(Revelation 3:1-6 NIV) "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. [2] Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. [3] Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. [4] Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. [5] He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. [6] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. This one I did quote in its entirety. Notice that Jesus says they should strengthen what remains and is about to die. They must have had something to start with, and it must be able to die. He also talks about those who have not soiled their clothes. Since we know that we have all sinned this cannot mean people who have never sinned, it must be people who have not gone back into sin and rejected what they had. Again He says these people (who did not soil their clothes) are the ones who will walk with Him and He will dress in white.
(Revelation 3:14-19 NIV) "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. [15] I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! [16] So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. [17] You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. [18] I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. [19] Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Why would Jesus threaten a church of non-believers with being spit out of His mouth? I don't think He would. Lukewarm, means they were once warm, but had lost that warmth.
(Romans 11:17-21 NIV) If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, [18] do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. [19] You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." [20] Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. [21] For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. To be graphed in one must be a believer and if a graphed in branch is a believer then it clearly says they can be broken off again. It clearly says they were broken off because of unbelief and that we will not be spared either.
(John 15:1-6 NIV) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. [2] He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. [3] You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. [4] Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. [5] "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. [6] If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and we do not remain in Him we become like a branch thrown away and burned in the fire, what could that mean? I believe you have to twist this passage to show anything but judgment for those believers who reject their faith. To me this passage debunks the theology of carnal Christianity. If a believer is living a carnal life the Father will cut them off from the vine which is Jesus Christ. I didn't say that Jesus did.
(Ezekiel 18:23-28 NIV) Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? [24] "But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die. [25] "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear, O house of Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? [26] If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. [27] But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life. [28] Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away from them, he will surely live; he will not die. My question here is has God changed? How were Old Testament saints saved? Was it the blood of animals, or was it faith in God that He would send a Redeemer to take away their sins? Of course it was by faith, just as we are today. The difference was that their faith was for something in the future and ours is for something in the past.
(2 Peter 1:8-11 NIV) For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. [10] Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, [11] and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this passage Peter mentions that the person has forgotten that they were forgiven of their past sins. He does not mention past, present and future, just past. He goes on to say that we should be eager to make our calling and election sure. If we can never give up our salvation then this verse makes no sense. Nor does the statement that if we do these things we will never fall. To make that statement would have to mean it is possible to fall or it would be meaningless.
(Matthew 24:9-13 NIV) "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. [10] At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, [11] and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. [12] Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, [13] but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. Jesus says that many will turn away from the faith, He also says those who stand firm will be saved. What about those who don't stand firm? The obvious interpretation would be that they will not be saved.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-2 NIV) Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. [2] By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. Paul says they have believed in vain if they don't hold to the word he preached to them. In the verse before that he says they were saved.
(Hebrews 2:1-3 NIV) We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. [2] For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, [3] how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. People can say this was written to people who had not yet believed, but to me if a person drifts away, it shows they were at one time where they should have been.
(Hebrews 3:12-14 NIV) See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. [13] But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. [14] We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. I think this passage pretty much speaks for itself. We must hold firmly till the end. The author also states that it is possible for someone to turn away.
(Hebrews 6:4-6 NIV) It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, [5] who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, [6] if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. How can a non-believer have tasted of the Holy Spirit? This passage might scare people who have sinned and fallen short and want to come back. Again I don't believe this passage is talking about those people, I think it is speaking about believers who for whatever reason have made a deliberate decision to reject their salvation. Jesus said that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them. If a person decides after tasting salvation that they no longer want to spend eternity with God, I believe He will allow them to make that decision and never draw them again. If He does not draw them, they can never come back.
(Hebrews 6:11-12 NIV) We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. [12] We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. If we are once saved always saved, then why do we need to make our hope sure? What happens to those who do become lazy and lose their faith, since those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised?
(Hebrews 10:35-39 NIV) So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. [36] You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. [37] For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. [38] But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." [39] But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. The author says we need to persevere and if we do we will receive what He has promised. Wouldn't it makes sense then that those who do not persevere will not obtain what was promised? Notice that those who shrink back will be destroyed, but those who believe will be saved.
(Hebrews 12:16-17 NIV) See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. [17] Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears. I believe again that this passage is speaking to and about believers. The author wants us to be sure none of us sells his birthright (salvation) for the pleasures of this world.
(James 4:4 NIV) You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. I think this shows the choice I was talking about. If we choose to reject God and live like the world we become enemies of God.
(James 5:19-20 NIV) My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, [20] remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins. If a brother (believer) wanders from the truth we should try to bring them back to save them.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NIV) Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders [10] nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. This is what people would have us believe a carnal Christian can be like. I think Paul makes it clear if you live like this you will not see heaven.
(Revelation 21:7-8 NIV) He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. [8] But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." He who overcomes! Doesn't look like carnal Christians if there were such a thing would make it by this passage either.
(Revelation 22:18-19 NIV) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. [19] And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. It would appear John is speaking to people who have a share in the tree of life to start with.
(2 Peter 2:20-21 NIV) If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. [21] It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. When you look at this verse you have three choices; (1) That it refers to people who heard the gospel but rejected it, did not ever accept Jesus Christ as their savior. I think that is wrong, because it says if they are "again" entangled. To be entangled again, would mean you were free from it at one point. (2) That these people are true Christians and never fall back under judgment. I don't see how that can be true, since there is no way that losing rewards or even chastisement by the Lord would ever be "worse" then not having been saved in the first place. (3) That this refers to people who have truly accepted Christ Jesus as their Savior and then due to their own actions and falling back into a sinful life and thereby eventually totally walking away from their faith are lost. Since those who go to hell will be judged on what they knew and what they did with that knowledge, it would be better if they had never known because their punishment will be much harsher due to the knowledge they had. I think number 3 is the only legitimate interpretation of this passage.

Ralph does a perfect job of laying out the error of OSAS.

OSAS is one of Satan's most clever lies. It opens up holes all over the place in a christian's armor. My question is this: isn't it extremely foolish to enter battle with armor thats full of holes?

Here's a question to ponder: Why is it that the OSAS crowd get's so extremely upset when you tell them they have to believe in Jesus through the end to be saved? There are many reasons I can think of why OSAS believers would get upset about having to remain faithful to the end
like, having the freedom to sin and still go to heaven. Like, not taking their walk with Jesus seriously everyday and still being rewarded for it. Like living a life as if Jesus did'nt exist, then when they die living for Christ. The list is long and problematic for the OSAS beleiver.

9,000 dead and counting

All out assaults on the bible and christianity: This weekend I saw a youtube video of some guy who is supposedly an expert at the aramaic language. He "pastors" a church and has come to the conclusion that when the bible is translated from aramaic it says something completely different from what we've come to believe (quick, act shocked!). The bottom line he says is that Jesus is not your redeemer, He did'nt die for your sins, He died because of your sins but not "for" them, in other words, no redemption. Blah, blah, blah. He says you have no reward in heaven, all your reward can be found here on earth! LET'S PARTY THEN! Not....What's the moral of this story? Satan is attacking from every direction, leaving no stone unturned in his all out end times assault. Those who are not firmly rooted, will be uprooted. Those who are just playing christianity will be tossing christianity before long. Those who deny Jesus is the Christ, are ANTICHRIST.

The signs are all around us, they are increasing in both frequency and intensity. In fact, the "birthpains" are basically so close together now that they are on top of one another? What does that mean? I'll let you figure it out...

Christianity and Submarines



When a submarine is endangered near the surface of the ocean, either by bad weather or an enemy navy, do you know what is does? It DIVES. Deeper into the ocean. Any of us who are familiar with WW2 movies know this. It does'nt matter how bad the weather is on the ocean surface, if the sub goes down deep enough, it will find peaceful waters. I think there's a parallel there for us, difference is, our "diving" is into the depths of God's Word. When the world, the enemy and the flesh are beating the daylights out of you, when you feel like your peace has slipped away......DIVE, go deeper..into the Word of God. It works, you will find peace there. The Lord will lead you to quiet waters. He said he would, do you believe him?

Famine, Apocalypse, Bees



Survey: 36% of bee hives lost in U.S



What do the bees do? Not much EXCEPT pollinate 90-100% of 19 different fruits, nuts and vegetables that we consider staples of our diets. No bees, no pollination, no pollination, no food. I guess we'd be ok if the bees were the world's only problem, but consider the steady assault on the world's food supply: That huge hurricane that hit burma killing 100,000 recently, guess what, it flooded the most agriculturally active area of the country. Know what that means? It means in an already very poor country, where people were stuggling to eat before, now it guaranteed they will starve to death. While we spend mult-billions of dollars each month killing arabs, people are starving all over the world. While people are starving, satan's servants closing off all the escape routes to ensure that this world WILL depopulate by the millions. People are starving, and our government is subsidizing ethanol production. Why? Who needs gas for the car when there's no food for the mouth? Once again, so much for the idea that this is a "christian nation." Like all of today's babylonian apostianity, it's christian in name only. There are mega churches on every corner, yet this country is sliding deeper and deeper into every kind of wickedness. True christianity is salt and light. Salt preserves, it prevents spoil. This is more evidence for you that today's false churchianity is NOT SALT, it does not prevent spoil, in fact, it encourages rot. Turn back to your Creator today. His Spirit will teach you. There's no time left, the good that you've always wanted to do, but put off for another day, NEEDS TO GET DONE TODAY. Listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches (Rev 2-3). Grace and peace~D

Rev 7, Where Are We?

Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

In Rev 5, we see redeemed men in heaven, in Rev 6 we see the wrath of God, here in Rev 7 what do we see? We see the servants of God being sealed in their foreheads, wait a minute though, last time I checked, we, the church are servants of God too right? Why is it that the only servants of God being sealed are 144,000 from all the tribes of the children of Israel? Not a single member of the church sealed? NOT ONE. Why? The true church is in heaven. To hammer this point home, IMMEDIATELY after mentioning the sealing of the 144,000 the Holy Spirit shows us a picture of the raptured church in heaven. How much more plain could He make it? What does this mean? It means be ready, it means be watching. Time is short, the day to perfect holiness is today. Yesterday is gone, and nobody promised us we'll see tomorrow. Make the most of today for the days are evil. The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Pray for all the brothers, Amen

The Fog of War






As we near the end, the war is heating up. We are soldiers, and we are told to endure hardship as soldiers. There's no question that hardship is decending on this world. The enemy has unleashed his battalions, and the "fog of war" is upon us. These are not easy times for true believers, yet understand that where evil abounds, grace abounds more. Also understand this:
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. So....Josua 1:7 be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

WE don't observe the law of Moses, but we do observe the commands of our God that things may go well with us. Be strong my brothers, time is very short. Satan is executing some kind of spiritual kung fu move on the world right now, where on one hand, he is moving in his army of darkness, while on the other hand, he is pacifying the world with fog, and some kind of spiritual anesthesia so the masses stand idle and watch it all happen. Without even a whimper they are led to the slaughter. We are not unaware of the enemies devices. Pray for me please, and all the brothers and sisters that we may be strong, pray for wisdom that we may know the Father's will, pray for strength that we may do it. May the grace and peace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, King of King's and Lord of Lord's be with you always. Every ounce of faith that you exercise here on earth will be rewarded RICHLY in the kingdom that is coming, our kingdom, the kingdom of our Savior. You will look back on every occasion that you decided to believe the Father's promises and throb with joy. Your heart will be overcome with gladness. The darkness is almost past and our light is rising. Keep the faith, recommit daily, you are in my prayers.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Not only do they seduce you, they also make merchandise out of you: 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Are you upset yet? These greedy men seduce you and think of you like a roll of toilet paper (merchandise). You are nothing more to them than a resource to extract money from.

Isn't it interesting how the Lord talks about "them that seduce you" then immediately after tells us that we need not that any man teach us? Today's idolatrous babylonian pastoral system is 100% about seducing the people, which is precisely why the Word of God here says YOU DON'T NEED THEM. The Holy Spirit himself will teach you, IF you have the Holy Spirit within you. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, in order to have the Holy Spirit come and live in you, you have TO REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT JESUS, the Son of God to save you, you have to repent, you have to be motivated. You have to be sick and tired of BEING LIED TO. Are you sick of lies yet, or does the tidal wave of lies we live in comfort you? The Lord knows your heart, He knows if there's unconfessed sin in there, He knows if you "kinda" wanna play churchianity, or whether you've had enough of the lie and now you REALLY want the real thing. No more games, either you are 100% for real, or you get nothing from Him.

Here it is again: John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Notice what it DOES'NT SAY. It does'nt say "your pastor" will lead you into all truth, it DOES'NT SAY, a seminary degree will lead you into all truth, it DOES SAY, the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit) will lead you into all truth.
