The Escape

Psalm 82:4 Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the
... Rescue weak and needy people. Help them escape the power of wicked people. ... Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.

Rev 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Help a weak and needy people.....those with "little strength" to escape the power of wicked people.....pray that you may be counted worthy to escape all that's about to happen. Did you think Luke 21:36 was the only place in the bible where the Holy Spirit tells us to pray for "escape?" Psalm 82:4 ...Rescue weak and needy people. Help them escape the power of wicked people.

2 Peter 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of ...
... People can know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and escape the world's filth.

I want to encourage you today to keep watching, and be ready for the return of our Lord. Every day that passes, more people give up. Every day that passes brings more scoffers out of the woodwork. There was a time when I said "if the pre-trib view turned out to be wrong, then I would automatically become a mid-trib advocate," but today I withdraw that. I will hold to a daily watch and readiness for the Lord until he comes, or I die, whichever comes first.

How can we putoff watching for him when he specifically told us to watch? He did'nt tell us to "start watching when this or that happens" he just said watch. What does that mean? It means, now...today.

Luke 12:37 ... How blessed are those servants whom the master finds watching for him when he comes!

What arguments can men make against this? How can men argue that we should not be watching for him today? They do argue this, but they do it in vain. Anyone who is not watching for the Lord to return today is a fool. On the day he does return, many will be caught not watching, many will be caught not ready. They will scurry off to "go buy some oil" and the wise will go into the wedding feast and the door will be shut.

For some time now I have rejected the ideas of the "mid-trib, pre-wrath, and post-trib" escape, coming of the Son of man. Why? Each and every person who holds to these views purposefully, as an act of their own free will, refuses to look for Jesus to show up today. These people have chosen purposefully not to pray for the "escape from all." They have various reasons for why they refuse to do this, but its all willfull disobedience. If the Lord told you specifically to pray for something and you refused to do it because you believe something else about the bible, what would you call that? Willfull disobedience right? Do you think willfull disobedience will ever be rewarded?

Would Noah have been rewarded had he chosen not to build the ark? What if Noah told our Father "sorry Lord, I just can't buy into this idea that my family and I get to escape this catastrophic flood. What makes me so special Lord? But Lord, who is going to "witness" to all the lost if I go into the ark? But, but, but, but....Noah did'nt argue with the Lord, he did what he was told to do. What if all todays so called christians were transported back to Noah's day, can you imagine all the bickering and debating with the Lord that would have gone on? It's just too much to ask for some people to do what the Lord tells them to do and leave it at that.

I find it amazing that the Lord tells us there is an escape from all coming, and people try to argue him out of it! Nope, there can't be an escape from all because of this, that and the other...
Will those people be rewarded for holding this view themselves, and worse, teaching it to others?
I have'nt heard a convincing argument yet for the downside of watching and being ready, day in, and day out for the Lord's return. That argument does not exist because the word of God torpedoes the argument before it leaves the mouth of man.

When the Lord returns, will he find faith on earth? That's the question Jesus asked. At the time of the end the love of most will grow cold because of the increase in wickedness. Many will depart from the faith, many already are departing from the faith and bad times have'nt even shown up yet. Today, atheism and homosexuality are honored. Critics and scoffers, the biggest crooks and liars are honored (the ones good enough not to get caught..). Today is a great day to be looking for the Lord's return. If he does'nt show up today, then the next best day for him will be tomorrow, and so on, and so on until the day he does appear.

Ask any soldier if there's any good day not to be ready for combat. As any firefighter is there's any good day to not be ready to fight fires and save lives. Give us this day our daily bread is what we pray for each and every day. What is our daily bread? It is the person of Christ Jesus. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done...we pray for that daily. Are you waiting for 3.5 years from today before you begin to do the things the Lord told you to do today? Will you start praying to "escape all that's about to happen" after you've already been through 50% of all that's about to happen?

I can guarantee you that if you are watching and ready for the Lord to return today, and tomorrow and the next day etc, you will never be sorry for it. Those who will be sorry will be those who have given themselves reasons not to expect the Lord today. We are entering a time that is unlike any other in the history of the world. It's starting to dawn on people that yea, this time it is different. This time, all the pieces that did'nt fit into the end times puzzle do fit. The watchmen are crying out from every point on the wall, be ready!

We have no idea how long the Lord might tarry, and what we will go through here on earth before he shows up. But we know we can trust him, we know that our prayers accomplish much. We know that our prayers can move mountains. So many people are asking "what can we do" today expecting answers like "go buy some gold, a rifle and build a bunker in the side of a mountain somewhere." They want to "do something" with their hands besides fold them in prayer on their knees. Somehow, these people don't believe that a person can do more on their knees in prayer than they can any other way. In prayer, you can get a personal word from the Lord that is worth more than any advice other humans can give you in a lifetime. Why are people asking other people "what can we do" when they should be asking that question to their
GOD? Should a people not inquire of their God?

Isaiah 8:19-22 -- "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? ...

Men ask men to solve this worlds problems when its men that got us into this mess. When will people wake up? If the Lord tells you to go build a bunker or buy gold or a rifle, then go do it, but until then, you need to seek his face. What is one word from the Lord worth? Or two or three words? John 11:43
... When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth."

3 words and a dead man came walking out of a tomb. How much more will one or two or three words from him bring life into your world? We have a book that is full of these words. Instead of asking men what you can do, how about you ask your God what you should do? Until you hear from the Creator, you are spinning your wheels seeking the counsel of men.

done for today, grace and peace
