Remember

Psalm 77:10Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:
the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.
11I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12I will consider all your works
and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

As a brother who has seen multiple miracles in his life, I can testify that an important key to your next (or first) miracle is remembering what the Lord has already done.  Do we really believe the Lord parted the Red Sea for Israel to pass through?  Do we really believe our Lord raised Lazarus from the dead?  Do we believe the Lord has performed miracles for His people?  If He has done these things before He can do them again.  His power is the same now as it was then.  We remember so we can apply what was done to our own hearts and minds to condition ourselves to receive the promises.

The Lord's power is not the problem, our own impatience and faithlessness are often the problem.  Two absolutely important keys to our walk with  the Lord are faith and patience.  How much can be achieved with faith and patience?  EVERYTHING.  Mountains can be moved, trees uprooted and case into the sea, the sick healed, and all our personal problems solved with the application of faith and patience.

How do we build up our faith and strengthen our patience?  By remembering what the Lord has already done.  Open the book of remembrance in your mind and count off all of the things the Lord has done for you personally.  While this brother has seen more answered prayers and miracles than I can count, I realize that they were not for me alone.  These answered prayers and miracles now serve as a testimony to you.

What testimony?  A testimony that asks you "what does the Word of God say?"  Then tells you that Word can be trusted to the uttermost.  Here is the deal guys.  This is an all or nothing 'game' we are playing.  Either we stand on our faith or we will not stand at all.

... If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'" .

Remember, remember, remember and give thanks.  Stand in awe of our God and what He has done.  Your faith will swell and grow as you meditate and consider the awesome things He has already done.  Try to picture in your own mind what it must have been like standing in front of the Red Sea and watching it part.  What did it really look like watching the waves of the sea crash down on the heads of the Egyptians?  These things are more real than you or me and we would be wise to lay hold of them and internalize them for our own benefit and the benefit of those you hear us.

If you do not feel that you have the strength to hold on for your own miracle then do it for those you love and those who you will bear witness to when your prayers have been answered and your miracle is complete.  We live in a faithless age and a time when many many people are hurting and in need.  People need answers, they need miracle power in their life not hype and empty promises.

What mankind needs today is the kind of power and deliverance that only our Lord can provide.  Do you need prayers answered?  So do I, and as one who has had prayers answered I can tell you our Lord can and will deliver if we will be patient and listen to His voice.  This brother who writes to you today can tell you He is the only answer.  As you read your Bibles you will see a long line of brothers who testify to you that our Lord's Word is true and He can be trusted.

Hang on, HOLD ON and fight for your answer.  Remember the answers and deliverance and miracles the Lord has done.

Listen to the voice of this nobody for one moment.  This nobody (through the Holy Spirit) points you to the same place all the laws and prophets point you:  our Lord Jesus Christ.  In Him are all the power, the might and the tender mercies and loving kindnesses we need to make it through another day in this testing ground we call life.

Hold on and remember...

What is the Spirit Saying Today?

If you have been reading here for any time, you know that the Lord has redirected this writers attention from writing about end times events (of which there are many) to focusing squarely on Him.

The events taking place in the world around us are signs of judgement for the world, but signs of homecoming for us.  What is this writer's sense of what the Lord is doing today?  He is preparing His Bride.  What is the Spirit saying today?  Very clearly the Spirit is saying praise Him....

Ps 71:5For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
my confidence since my youth.
6From birth I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
I will ever praise you.
7I have become a sign to many;
you are my strong refuge.
8My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long.

If there is one thing I believe we should keep at the top of our list it is praise Him.  The Lord has impressed this clearly on me over the past few days but actually it has been over a period of many years that He has said this.  What were we created for?  To glorify Him.  We were created for His glory.

I sometime wonder how radically people's lives would turn around if they did this one thing more often.  What would happen in your life if you praised the Lord (out loud with your lips) more often?  The Word tells us the Lord inhabits the praises of His people.

Ps 22.3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

What happens when you praise and glorify the Lord continually?  The Lord shows up.  If there is anything we all need continually it is the presence and power of the Lord God Almighty in our lives.

If there is one thing and only one thing this writer ever told you and that is all you walked away with from reading this blog, it would be to praise Him, out loud with your lips and often.  Do it for yourself, and your family and all those you love and do it because it is what you were created for.  We were created to praise Him and to bring Him glory.  Let us do what we were created to do for ourselves and those we love and more importantly because our God deserves every last word that glorifies His name.

grace and peace.

Why The Righteous Suffer

1 Peter 1:3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Our faith is being tested.  Faith is of greater worth than gold.  Do you need a miracle in your life?  It will require faith.  Do you need prayers answered?  It will require faith.  We are saved by grace through faith.

In this age of apostasy, we hear all about a one dimensional god.  That is the god the Babylonian preachers tell us about.  He is the grace only god, who offers free unconditional salvation for the price of a 10 second teary eyed alter call.  We are told that our Lord is grace and love only.  We do not hear anything about righteousness, judgement or wrath.  Our God is a God of grace and love AND righteousness, judgement and wrath.  We serve a multidimensional God, not some soft puff vanilla sugar daddy in the sky.  He is a God of wrath, judgement and repayment for lawlessness (along with everything else He is).

In His righteousness He has ordained us to suffer for our faith so we can also be rewarded for it.  This writer believes the Lord does not appoint us to a single moment of suffering that does not have some greater eternal purpose that far outweighs the suffering we endure now.  To put this in perspective, consider even someone who endures a lifetime of suffering, lets say 70 years of it.  On the day that believer stands before the Lord in paradise, with their heart trying to beat its way out of their chest with the joy and incredible pleasure of it all, will that person for a moment even blink at the suffering they endured on earth?  Compare an eternity of ecstatic joy to 70 years of so of suffering.  Everything compare against eternity is nothing.  Eternity is a long long LONG time and that is the length of time we are appointed to enjoy paradise once we have passed the test.

We are in the test right now.  Our faith is the passport into heaven.  We BELIEVE which is why we are called believers.  Our faith can move mountains right here right now.  This writer can say this with confidence because I have seen mountains moved.  The Lord has allowed me to see many miracles so I can testify to you with zero doubt that everything that has been written is true and can be trusted to the uttermost.

Matt 77“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

These Words above (Matt 7:7-8) are not just words, they are power and they are truth.  What does it take to take delivery of the above promises?  FAITH and patience.  The Lord delivers on His promises, that is a fact.  He also likes to wait in order to test our faith, that is also a fact.  Who likes to wait?  Nobody that I know but it is a pre-requisite to take delivery of the promises.

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through
faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

This has been written to you today to encourage you to hold onto your faith which is worth more than everything in this world put together.  We will inherit eternity, paradise AND answers right here on earth through our faith.  Thanks be to God.

A Time For Everything

Happy Mothers Day (to all the mothers!)

I was asking the Lord why it takes so long sometimes for our prayers to be answered.  One answer I have already received from Him long ago is because it tests our faith.  Another answer I received yesterday was this:

Eccl 3:1There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

The Lord is not just in charge of the answer to our prayers but He is also in charge of the timing of the answer to our prayers.  Do we believe that the Lord loves us?  Then we will believe in His timing.  Do we believe that the Lord can be trusted?  Then we will believe in His timing.  Do we believe the Lord answers prayers?  Then we will believe in His timing.

This writer has had to wait for years for some answers to prayer but the Lord always, always came through.  Will the test of time expose our lack of faith or prove our faithfulness?  Will we give up on the Lord or we will hold on to the very end?

We are all being tested all the time.  Some are being tested by adversity, some are being tested by prosperity and peace, but we are all being tested.  Will we pass the test of time?  That is the question.  Will we hold onto our faith no matter what till the very end?  What did the Lord ask us?

... Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

our faith is everything.

... For by grace you have been saved through faith

My prayer is that we will all hold onto our faith until the end.  I hope that some of us might even surprise the Lord with great faith such as this:

Luke 7:1When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.”6So Jesus went with them.
He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
9When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 10Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well

How To Upset The Lord

Heb 3:12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13But exhortone another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Many Christians take unbelief lightly as if it were no big deal but the Lord sees it differently.  What does the Lord call unbelief?  Evil.......

Every time we are confronted with life and we choose unbelief, disbelief, we choose not to trust, not to hope and to generally resign ourselves to the world and its ways instead of looking to the promises and power of our God, the Lord calls that evil.  He does not take it lightly.

If we want to please the Lord, we choose belief, trust and hope in His power and His promises.  We all face many different problems and challenges and tribulations in this life, but the Lord has given us tools to deal with them.  This brother can tell you that never once, not once ever have the Lord's power and promises let me down.  Yes, I have had to wait sometimes, for years...but the promises and power came through for me.

This brother has hoped in the Lord, I have remembered the Lord's goodness to me and my family.  I have remembered the past miracles and displays of power on my behalf.  I remember.....This is not about me though it is about you.  How did Israel get into trouble over and over again?  They forgot...they did not remember the Lord and they went off and did their own thing.  Each and every time it ended in pain, heart ache and sometimes death.

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will
remember your miracles of long ago.

"Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and
laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for
the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

We must choose faith and belief every time we are confronted with issues.  We must remember the Lord's promises and power and miracles.  Everything that was done was done for us.  The parting of the red sea was done for us, raising lazarus was done for us, feeding thousands with a few loaves of bread was done for us, walking on water was done for us.  We must believe and we must remember.

This brother is a living, walking talking testimony to the power and promises of God Almighty.  He does miracles and exercises His power every bit as much today as He ever has.  Our faith is the key to seeing that power at work in our own lives.

If we want to please the Lord, and I know we all do, then we must choose faith and belief at every turn on this road called life.

Update 4.18.2014

I ask the Lord often if I should write something, and lately the answer is no.  What has the Lord spoken to this servant?  We are to walk and talk with our God on a daily basis, building our relationship with Him.  All the rest of the stuff going on around us including the lunar tetrad etc is background and or noise relative to what is at the forefront of the Lord's mind and heart today.

According to the clear impression made on this writer's spirit, what is on the Lord's mind and heart today are very simple.  We were created to praise and worship Him.  We have an eternal purpose here that starts and ends with Him.  He is the focus.  He wants our attention, now.  Thats it.

It is this writers guess that the Spirit has halted all other writing here to strip back all distractions or less important messages.  There is one and only one message coming through right now, focus on Him.

A Couple Things From The Lord

The Lord spoke clearly to my spirit today about a couple things:

1.  The coming lunar tetrad on His feast days
2.  Seeking shelter in Him

So on 1.  The coming lunar tetrad on His feast days i saw clearly in my mind a blinking traffic light.  The coming lunar blood moons on Passover are blinking yellow lights like traffic lights indicating proceed with caution.  The coming fall feast blood moons are blinking red lights indicating, stop, warning, danger ahead.

Seem kind of simplistic?  Maybe just my interpretation?  Nope, crystal clear from the Lord, simple, direct and straightforward as can be.  The Lord does not write to us in doctoral thesis format.  He gives things to us simply and directly.

Why blinking lights?  We are being warned twice for each feast day, once each on passover and sukkot this year and once each on passover and sukkot in 2015.

Where did this come from ^^?  I asked the Lord (since this is April 1), what the story is with these blood moons on the feast days?  What you read above is what I received.  This morning it was very clear, not through a glass darkly or I kinda sorta think, it was crystal clear impression from the Lord onto my spirit.

2.  Seeking shelter in Him.  This is the Lord's blog, not mine.  I just happen to be the only writer here.  I am sure you have noticed the writing on current events etc has come to a screeching stop.  The Spirit just put the brakes on it all of the sudden leaving me wondering.  There is absolutely nothing within me that indicates go ahead and keep writing about the earthquakes and dead birds and space rocks and all the other signs.  The Spirit says stop, so it stopped.  Now what?

The Lord impressed on my spirit with crystal clarity this morning that we are to seek shelter in Him, as He is a real fortress, a real castle, a real stronghold, a real defense against what is coming.  We are to center ourselves on Him and root ourselves deep into Him.  He has impressed me more than once recently about the need to center our focus on Him to withstand whatever it is that lies ahead for this world.  The world may get a proverbial punch in the gut and we may be around to see it.  How will we deal with the world around us fainting with fear?  Root ourselves deeper in Christ.  That's how.

I have no idea what is coming (other than what is clearly written in the Word) in the days, weeks, months and years ahead, but I am certain of what the Lord has spoken to me today and about what the Word says about these things.

He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield,
in whom I take refuge
, who subdues peoples under me.

Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and
guide me

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I
take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold

I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust

Col 2:6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Colossians 1:23 if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

Praying For Those In Authority

As politicians go from bad to worse we must not forget this instruction from the Lord:

1 Tim 2:1I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth

We are to pray for those in authority so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives.  If we are not doing this, then we are partially to blame for some of the nonsense that goes on in the political world.

There are many in this world who tell us it is our duty to vote, and voting is the way to change what goes on in politics.  This writer would say that is faithless.  It is a spiritually bankrupt statement.  How so?

What does the Word say?

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

So let me ask you, did Jesus ever vote?  No.  Did Jesus 'get involved' with roman politics to change the world for the better? No.  The answers to these questions are a definitive no, not a "no, but.."  Men who think like this world speak from the viewpoint of this world and tell you to get involved in its politics:

They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint
of the world, and the world listens to them.

Let me ask you a revealing question, who do you think would change the world more for the better:

1.  The man who always voted and never prayed?

or

2.  The man who always prayed and never voted?

No, I don't want to hear this rubbish about praying and voting because Jesus did not vote, period.

In fact to put a nail in this coffin we also look to this:

John 18:36  Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place."

Our kingdom is not of this world.  How much more clear does the Lord have to say it?  We have the Lord's instruction on these matters but as in many other things men want to take things into their own hands.  I can tell you with 100% rock solid certainty that the man (or woman :) who prays will impact the world far and away greater than the person who votes.  It comes down to a question of what we really truly believe our prayers accomplish.  Do we really believe our faith can move mountains?  Do we really believe the Lord still answers prayer?  When the Lord returns will He really find faith on earth?

... Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?

Faith filled prayer moves mountains, that is the clear instruction in the Bible and that is the testimony of this nobody who writes to you today.  What we believe matters.  How much faith we have (or dont have) matters because it impacts the results we get from our prayers.

... Have faith that you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

This brother would encourage you to pray today with whatever faith you have in you.  If you lack faith ask the Lord for more.  We are in this world but we are not of it.  We are aliens and strangers here

... Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from
fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.

So let us pray with faith as strangers in this world who look forward to a kingdom that is not of this world.  Let us pray so we may live quiet and peaceful lives.

What Good Thing Can We Do For The Lord?

Over a period of years and many miracles, the Lord has emphasized one thing above most things to this servant:

1 Peter 2:9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

We were built to praise Him.  Our purpose is to praise Him.  As I write this the Spirit impresses my spirit to the point where I want to leap out of my skin to emphasize this very point.  Our primary service is to the Lord, above other men, above our families and above ourselves the Lord comes first.  And what good can we find to do in the service of our Lord?  We can praise Him:

Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of
praise
--the fruit of lips that openly profess his name

If you want to know what the Spirit is saying today, this is the message this servant hears loud and clear:  praise Him.

He has proven to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is God and He is worthy to receive our constant praise and adoration.  Thanks be to God for His great goodness to us, His servants.

Who was a man after God's own heart?  Who in the Bible was loved by the Lord?  Who was the king from which our Lord descended in human lineage?  It was David.  What did David write?  The Psalms.  What are the Psalms?  Declarations of praise and adoration for our Lord and King.

If we want to be a people that walks with God, His praise should continually be on our lips:

Psalm 34:1I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.

What Is The Spirit Saying To The Churches?

For years we have tied current events into what is foretold in the Word of God.  Next month is the first blood moon of the lunar tetrad taking place on the Lord's feast days over 2014-2015 and look at what is happening in the world around us.  We are on the brink of world war with Russia.

And yet, at the beginning of this year the Lord's guidance to this servant was:

1. to be a man who walks with God
2. to rest in Him
3. to do whatever good my hands find to do.

While the world goes into turmoil and chaos the Lord directs His servant into peace.  This message is not only for me.  How simple, and comforting and loving and merciful and truly beautiful is this message to us?

The Lord speaks to this servant in many ways, one of which is making things jump off the pages of the Bible.  My heart leaps and my spirit stirs when I read a certain passage that I may have read a hundred times before.  That is the Spirit of the Lord making it real, right now today.  It is the Lord speaking to the church one member at a time.  What message do we have today?

psalm 104.33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

What is the purpose of life?  Why are we here?  What is the Lord's plan for me?  It is all wrapped up in this.  Each of us in an eternal relationship with the Creator.  That's it.  All this drama in our lives is a backdrop, a minor chapter in the pages of eternity.  This story is a love story of the Creator and His creation loving Him back.  That's it.  Us and the Lord throughout eternity, in a loving relationship.  Not very complex.

We don't have to figure out what is going on with the world, we have to love Him.  We don't have to predict or worry, or fret, we have to trust Him.  He is our source, our provision, our protection, our everything.  In Him and through Him all our needs and desires will be met.

Glory to God in the Highest!

Psalm 31:19
Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear theewhich thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Love Him, trust Him, walk with Him.  Tune the world out.  This is what this servant hears the Spirit saying today.

A Couple More Things

Two rather important things I left off the other day's post.  The Lord also impressed me with these things:

1.  Our primary service is to the Lord.  I was asking the Lord what more I should do for Him.  Many people run here and there doing things for the Lord, but they forget Him.  It seems silly but it happens all the time and it is a problem.  Many are they that are too busy to spend time with the Lord.  They are so busy doing things for Him that they have no time to spend with Him.

The Lord comes first.  If our problem is we have no time then we drop everything and give the time back to Him.  Without the Lord who gets an extra second to live on this earth?  Priorities are important.  He comes first, then find room for everything else.  If we love and serve Him first a natural outflow of that will be to love our fellow man and these two are the greatest commandments:

Matt 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

This ^^ is what the Lord re-emphasized to me as I asked Him what was worthwhile for me to do for Him    during the few days we have left on this earth.  Love Him, give Him our attention, praise, worship, thank Him etc.  Be a man who walks with God.  There is nothing complex or difficult to understand about what we have been asked to do.

Less is more, drop the clutter focus on what is most important.

2.  When all hell breaks loose on earth, who knows if we will be here to see it.  World wars have passed by us in history and brothers in Christ lived through them, what if there is another one and this time its worse?

Our faith must be deeply rooted, like pillars driven deep into the ground that will withstand whatever shock is thrown at them.  When bad times come we will stand or fall based on our faith.  If the Lord God could bring 3 million complaining Israelites through a barren desert while feeding them and providing them water and shelter for 40 years, surely He can meet our needs during our temporary trials and tribulations.

A real bad storm may be coming.  Keep your eyes on the solution, the answer Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who has never once, ever let this brother down.  The Lord does deliver His own, He does provide and He does protect.  We will need Him more than ever in the days ahead.
