The Powerful Delusion

2 Thessalonians 2:11 For this reason God will send upon them a ...
... For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. ...
... He has put a sense of eternity in people's minds. Yet, mortals still can't graspwhat God is doing from the beginning to the end [of time].

Our God knows the end from the beginning. I believe the Lord expressed to me over the past days how some of this great delusion lays itself out. Have you heard/read the arguments by people that their are all kinds of "sun of God" figures with mothers (Mary types) that predate Christianity? The film "zeitgeist" and many others make this argument and they use it to claim that Christianity is just the "johnny come lately" of God/sun of God/mother of God religions.

Our God knows the end from the beginning. The great delusion that will be completed in its presentation to man in the near future was started long ago. Does it surprise anyone that an all knowing all powerful God who knows the end from the beginning lays groundwork for his future acts far in advance?

Were'nt the prophets and figures like John the baptist sent in advance to lay the groundwork for the coming of messiah? Do you think this coming great delusion has had no groundwork already laid for it? Whatever this coming delusion is, it will be multi-faceted and overwhelming in its presentation to mankind. The lawless one and his servants will reach back into history and lay hold of all kinds of "history" to make his case to receive the world's worship and praise.

We are not privvy to the conversations and dealings between our God and Satan, but it appears that groundwork has been laid in the case of the presentations like "zeitgeist" to tie into the new age/age of aquarius/lawless one manifesting himself. We are told the delusion will be so powerful that if it were possible, even the elect would be deceived. Our Lord does not use words lightly, if he meant it was going to be a powerful delusion capable of fooling even the elect, then it must be a whopper.

My point in saying all this comes back to the topic you've read here for weeks now: FAITH. The time to build your faith is not when you hear "the bridegroom is coming" or when you are staring face to face with the great delusion. The time to get on your knees and remember your "first love" (Rev 2:4) is now.

Satan is going to do what he's going to do, you need to do what you need to do today. We don't have a timeline that will tell us exactly when our Lord will show up for us, but we do have his word that tells us to be watching and ready today. We have his word that tells us to pray to be counted worthy to escape all thats about to happen and stand before him. Many are those who toss aside the Lord's commands. As if men's pet doctrines somehow trump God's own commands?

Don't be caught like the foolish virgins, or Lot's wife, or the worthless servant who hid his talent in the dirt. Warnings are an act of love. People say "I don't like to motivate with fear" but I can assure you the Lord does.

Psalm 147:11 The LORD favors those who fear Him, Those who wait

Men are constantly trying to outsmart God almighty. Bad decision. Be watching, be ready, pray for the brothers, keep the shield of faith UP. Grace and peace
