This is day 3 of the Feast of Trumpets and 30 days until the election. Today we need to be focused on the possible return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church. If He comes back for us today we need to be able to greet Him when He arrives and tell Him "we have been expecting you!" This is a message of encouragement for the Church:
1 Thes 4
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Luke 21:
34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Rev 3
10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Mark 13
32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
How do we watch?
Col 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Eph 6
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
1 Peter 4
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
The Lord God has directly linked prayer with watching. We will be ready in and through prayer. We prepare through prayer and will be ready through prayer.
We must be ready to leave and ready to stay. Today we need to be ready to leave. Tomorrow we need to be ready to stay and continue to do what we have been called to do on this earth. If the Church remains on this earth tomorrow then the job of restraining the enemy and all their activity kicks into high gear.
The Spirit of the Lord has lit a fire in the hearts of His people to rise up into their calling. Today is the day to do that. The great news for a Church that remains on the earth is that means the enemy does not get their demonic world order (yet). The Spirit working in and through the Church is the restraint on the enemy that holds them back:
2 Thess 2
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.
So, let us commit to ourselves, the Lord our God and to each other that we are going to do our job today. We will repent, revive and stand in righteousness. We will fast, pray and stand in agreement with each other. We will bind and loose things on earth and things in heaven. We will pray over all things at all times that comes to our mind. We will fight the good fight of faith as long as we are here on this earth. We will rise up into the fulness of the talents, skills and abilities the Lord has given us to serve. We will accomplish our mission and vision for the Kingdom of Heaven and we will do so with excellence. We will stay in the Word of God to encourage ourselves so that the overflow of that encouragement can reach others. We will get out of the way to allow the Treasure that resides in our jars of clay can go forth in signs, wonders and miracles around us.
It is time. The change we want to see in the world starts with you and it starts with me. The Lord Jesus Christ is walking the earth again today, through you and through me. That is the enemy's worst nightmare. The Church is growing which means light on earth is growing and the darkness cannot understand it but has to respect it like when a light turns on in a dark room. The darkness must leave. We are turning the lights back on, one person at a time.
So be ready for anything today. Tomorrow be ready to get back to work. If we are still here tomorrow we have alot to do. Regardless of what happens with the election, the Spirit of the Lord is in the process of raising up the Church into its authority and power in Christ Jesus. That is going to happen with or without the orange man.
Lets see what the Lord has in mind for the near term future. We will find out by the end of the day today. Glory to God.
