A Theocracy Not a Democracy

 We thank the Lord our God today for the benevolent dictatorship we live under- in Him.  The enemy and those who serve him have shown the world the sick, depraved, ugly, hypocritical face of death, theft and destruction "they" want for mankind.  No thanks.  We have been shown why it is so wonderful and pleasing that the Lord our God rules with a rod of iron and will dash the nations to pieces:

Ps 2

1Why are the [a]nations restless

And the peoples plotting in vain?

2The kings of the earth take their stand

And the rulers conspire together

Against the LORD and against His [b]Anointed, saying,

3“Let’s tear their shackles apart

And throw their ropes away from us!”

4He who [c]sits in the heavens laughs,

The Lord scoffs at them.

5Then He will speak to them in His anger

And terrify them in His fury, saying,

6“But as for Me, I have installed My King

Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

7“I will announce the [d]decree of the LORD:

He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,

Today I have fathered You.

8‘Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the [e]nations as Your inheritance,

And the ends of the earth as Your possession.

9‘You shall [f]break them with a [g]rod of iron,

You shall shatter them like [h]earthenware.’”

10Now then, you kings, use insight;

Let yourselves be instructed, you [i]judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with [j]reverence

And rejoice with trembling.

12[k]Kiss the Son, that He not be angry and you perish on the way,

For His wrath may be kindled quickly.

How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

We the Church, the children of Almighty God have been given dominion:

Ps 8

1Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

2Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have [b]ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

3When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit[c] him?
5For You have made him a little lower than [d]the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

6You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,

Of course, the enemy prefers the Church to live with blinders on, and with shackles around their necks (the doctrine of the Nicolaitans which the Lord hates.)  Unfortunately for "them" the blinders are coming off as are the shackles.  Now, a growing number of believers is standing with our Lord in agreement and alignment in the heavenlies, working out the Will of our God on the earth.  We are doing this, praying in our Lord's will between our rejoicing and thanksgiving:

1 Thess 5

16Rejoice always, 17pray without ceasing, 18in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Phil 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

So, we are not trembling in our stronghold wondering what the enemy is planning to do next.  "They" already told us what they want to do and we are praying that down, binding it, rebuking it and restraining it.  Far from trembling in our stronghold, we are marching out into the world in boldness hand in hand with the Lord God Almighty who has work to do in the earth today.

The Lord God will smash the enemy to pieces with His feet kicked up on a desk and whistling amazing grace.  And things do not get much better for "them" during the time of Jacob's trouble.  The enemy and those who serve them will be getting their rear ends handed to them on a daily basis.  So, while we know the enemy plans and plots to do their worst to humanity and the Church, we who believe plan to bring our best to the fight.  And we who believe do not stand alone.  The Lord God Almighty who rules with a rod of iron stands hand in hand with us every step of the way.

So today as we fight the good fight of faith, let us do so without anxiety.  We are to present our requests/prayers to the Lord sandwiched in between rejoicing and thanksgiving per 1 Thess 5 above.

Isa 30

People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”

23He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. 24The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel. 25In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. 26The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the Lord binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted.

27See, the Name of the Lord comes from afar,

with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke;

his lips are full of wrath,

and his tongue is a consuming fire.

28His breath is like a rushing torrent,

rising up to the neck.

He shakes the nations in the sieve of destruction;

he places in the jaws of the peoples

a bit that leads them astray.

29And you will sing

as on the night you celebrate a holy festival;

your hearts will rejoice

as when people playing pipes go up

to the mountain of the Lord,

to the Rock of Israel.

30The Lord will cause people to hear his majestic voice

and will make them see his arm coming down

with raging anger and consuming fire,

with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.

31The voice of the Lord will shatter Assyria;

with his rod he will strike them down.

32Every stroke the Lord lays on them

with his punishing club

will be to the music of timbrels and harps,

as he fights them in battle with the blows of his arm.

So, we too will be praising the Lord with song and dance, rejoicing and thanksgiving while He punishes the enemy and the nations.  His Kingdom come, His Will be done.  We thank the Lord for His Theocracy because the enemy's alternative sicko pervert, demonic smells like rot, decay and death form of government is abhorrent.

Let us rejoice today.  Let us give thanks today for all the Lord has done for us and all that He is yet to do.  We rejoice over the hope and the future He has planned for us.  We give thanks for every peaceful day that His Mighty Right Arm restrains and binds the enemy from conducting all of the evil plans they have for the earth.  We give thanks and rejoice in His tender mercies and loving kindness toward us, even when what we deserved was hell and death.

Please join with me in bowing the knee today toward the Lord God Almighty.  Please join this servant with declaring the praise and the Glory of the Lord our God who saves us from our enemies who are too powerful for us.  We give thanks and praise for every peaceful, quiet day.  Today is a day the Lord has made, let us be glad in it.

Glory to God
