Predicting the Future

The bible tells us to eagerly seek the greater gifts of the Holy Spirit:

1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual ...
... Keep on pursuing love, and keep on desiring spiritual gifts, especially the ability to prophesy

I pray on a daily basis for the gift of prophesy? That gift enriches the church, not the individual. Also consider the value of just one or two words from the mouth of God. "Let there be light" our Father said, and an incredibly powerful sun was born that gives light to earth. In our days, these days, whats the value of even a few words spoken directly from the mouth of God?

Along these lines of prophesy, I wrote a post recently titled "churchianity, where are your prophets?" As I say all the time, there are churches and 'pastors' on every street corner, millions of them and yet, to this day I have not heard one single word of prophesy that has come to pass from them. If they are this godly church they claim to be, then where is there power? Where is the restraining power to stem the tide of filth in this world. Where is there blameless man of God who can speak as if it were God's own words? THEY DON'T HAVE ONE.

To be fair, I have already told you that I consider myself the least of my brothers, I am a man of no account, but churchianity is full of self desribed great 'men of god," where is their power?
One word spoken by the mouth of God can sustain the universe. I will persist asking for this spiritual gift, perhaps the Lord will speak of the future. Without a word of prophesy however, we have a book full of prophesy already...the bible. That book tells us whats coming.

I hear the financial gurus talking about recovery and trying to spin the mess we're in as a temporary thing. Looks to me though, that this time, things are different. Theres a hole in the boat SO big, that no amount of bailing will keep it afloat. On the other hand, the Lord can keep things afloat if he wants to. The outlook right now is grim. We have a fiat currency system, never in the history of the world has a fiat money system worked over the long run, ever. There is a derivatives time bomb that in itself can blow up the entire system. Our economy is driven by consumer spending, but instead of pumping 850 Billion into US, the people so we will spend, they gave our money to the bankers, who are using it to buy other banks, give themselves raises, take spa trips, and pay for promotions. Yea, this place is in trouble. People are angry, and they should be.

The problem with most people is, no matter how bad things get, they continue to look to men for their answers. The creation, God's creation was subjected to frustration BY DESIGN, to get men to look to their maker.

Romans 8: 20 Creation was subjected to frustration but not by its own choice. The one who subjected it to frustration did so in the hope 21 that it would also be set free from slavery to decay in order to share the glorious freedom that the children of God will have. 22 We know that all creation has been groaning with the pains of childbirth up to the present time. 23 However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God's gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies from sin. 24 We were saved with this hope in mind. If we hope for something we already see, it's not really hope. Who hopes for what can be seen? 25 But if we hope for what we don't see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Time is short, men are not the answer to your problems, Jesus Christ is. These days are different, they will be much worse than the great depression, why? The apostate church. Never before has the church been so corrupt. Read 2 Peter. Men are lovers of themselves rather than lovers of god etc etc. When the Jews did not obey God, they got clobbered. When christians do not obey God, they will get clobbered. Its not going to be pretty. Men have always wanted idols, things their flesh can have intercourse with..touch taste hear smell, like animals. Thats where the pastoral system came in. Conquer the laity, thats what nicolaitan means, Rev 2-3. Jesus hates it, but men LOVE IT. People just love their pastors, dare I say, many of them even idolize their pastors? That, is idolatry. Anything that tries to slip its filthy fingers between the bride and bridegroom is an enemy. The pastoral system, is the nicolaitan system of Rev 2-3. Jesus hates it. The body of believers should be overseen by a plurality of elders, period. The only one man show in true Christianity is Jesus himself. All these pastors who have set themselves up as the head of their church are in for a rude awakening.
