Luke 21: 19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
And there's the challenge for us. How many of us are really good at patience? Well, we need to get good at it, because in our patience possess us our souls, or something like that. We are to watch and pray always, as if Jesus could come back today, but we must also be patient. Tom Petty sang a song that goes something like "the waiting is the hardest part." We might not have long to wait at all, then again we might have to really engage our patience.
I say all the time, "time is short" and I believe that is true. I believe that statement even though I do not fully understand what it means. When you have the Spirit of God living inside of you, and to Him, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day, things can get a little foggy. What is not so foggy is the constant loudspeaker within me, telling me that 'time is short.' I think it is wise to treat each day as if it might be your last. It might be. Who guaranteed you that you will live to see tomorrow? Thousands of people will die today, and tomorrow and the next day, for each of them, time is indeed short.
Add to that, the times we live in. The world is steadily, and not so slowly moving, tilting, rotating around onto its head in every way imaginable. One of the most notable ways this is happening is the switch from what is evil being called good, and what is good being called evil. We also see the way of truth pushed aside for the way of apostasy. Indeed, these days are unlike any other we have ever seen. The men in high places in this world who serve the devil, are pushing and pulling every lever at their disposal to usher in their 'new world order.' Every day now, at least some world leader mentions it. This crisis (they say) will lead to a new world order. That world order is a satanic world order, and the chess pieces are in play once again to bring it from the background to the forefront.
These men who serve satan can push and pull for their world order all they want, but its our God who decides when the Restrainer is taken out of the way. We serve a God who always has been, and always will be in control and master of all things. He decides, not men, when things will proceed. Our master tells us what to do, and we do it. He tells us to 'be watching' and 'be ready' so we do, and we are. The Spirit within us tells us what we need to know today, many times thats all He gives us, our daily bread, but isn't that enough? Men are so weak and lack so much understanding that if they were given more than their daily bread, they'd screw something up, so they are given just enough for today.
Be of good cheer, be strong, watch, pray, be ready. I really am not sure how much time is left. Things can happen so fast. The two major events that stand on the horizon, (as far as I can percieve) are 1. rapture and 2. war. There may be some war before rapture or rapture before war, that I'm kinda fuzzy on. I don't need to know.
We live in an amazing time, interesting times. You and I could be living through the end of the world. Judging by the state of the church (major apostasy), looks to me like the church age is about to be over, and our Father's complete focus on Israel is about to begin again. We'll find out soon enough.
