Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write
And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write
The first interesting thing I see from these words (from Rev2-3) is they are written to the angels of the churches. That makes sense right, since angels are messengers, but I also think it imlplies those angels of the churches that are messing up might be in some trouble as well as the churches themselves. That's just speculation and has little to do that I can think of with you and me, just an observation.
What I really wanted to point out, is that of the churches listed in Rev, only one is promised this:
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
One church is promised to be kept from the tribulation, or "the hour of temptation" that will come on all the earth. As we approach the tribulation hour, this becomes increasingly important information because it tell us what the true church will look like just before "being kept from the hour of temptation." What are the characteristics of this church?
1. for thou hast a little strength,
2. and hast kept my word,
3. and hast not denied my name
4. ...hast kept the word of my patience
Its a weak and patient church that has kept his word, and has not denied his name. Notice, this church is not condemned for anything, Jesus has nothing bad to say about it. Compare that to say, the Laodicean church that follows it. Jesus has only bad things to say about it, nothing good. It's a 180 degree spin around. So, lets piece this together...
If, as many people agree, the tribulation is standing right in front of us with its jaws wide open, then the true church that is in the world today is weak, patient, is keeping his word, and is not denying his name. Anything calling itself christianity that does not look like this, is a fraud.
Another thing to point out, there is one other church in Rev 2-3, that Jesus does not say anything bad about, thats here:
And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Here's something to notice about the two churches that Jesus does not have anything bad to say about:
them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. <----that is mentioned in both of them. They call themselves jews but are really a synagogue of Satan.
Todays so called churchianity fawns all over anything that calls itself jewish, and yet Jesus specifically points out some kind of link between the churches that he approves of, and so called jews who really serve Satan. How many in churchianity today have you heard EVER talking about the 'synagogue of Satan?' None, right? Well, why is that? If we are in the time just before the tribulation, we should see a weak church and jews that are jews in name only but are really servants of Satan, why are'nt these so called jews being called what they really are? They are a synagogue of Satan.
I'll tell you why you don't hear about them, because what calls itself christianity today is just as apostate, just as much a servant of Satan as the 'synagogue of Satan.' Why would one bad mouth the other? They are two peas in a pod, just like true jews, and true christians are different branches in the same vine (John 15).
A weak church, that is attacked on every side by Satanic jews (synagogue of Satan) is what we should see just before the tribulation. Read Rev 2-3 for yourself.
One last point I'll make about this end times church (philadelphia). The Lord appears to be so upset with these so called jews (synagogue of Satan) that the Lord forces those jews down on their knees and forces the jews to worship at the churches feet, and to acknowledge that Jesus loves them. Picture that in your mind. So much for pandering to so called jews today huh? I see it everywhere, as if jews today were right with God? Jesus calls them a synagogue of Satan.
There is a time coming where our Father will turn his full attention back to the Jews, and a remnant of them will have hearts for our God again. The true jew is our brother, the synagogue of satan is kin to the apostate church today.
Could you imagine if someone got up in a church today and said the apostate jews today will worship before the churches feet......Oh..the uproar, HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT? I did'nt, Jesus did, read your bible.
I say all this to focus your mind on what the bible says about what we should see in the world today. Everything in todays world is spin and deception, only what is written in your bible will clear the fog. The things written in this post do not make a person popular, they make them hated. The truth never made anyone popular. The prophets of the past and the prince of peace himself were put to death for telling the truth to this world.
Open your bible and figure out what the truth is for yourself. grace and peace
